Item Description

This Lot is single page presentation sheet displaying 15 stamps and special cancel commemorating the Ministerpräsidenten-Konferenz zur überwindung der deutschen Not held in Munchen in 1947. Stamps displaying various workers/professions and Dove of Peace during that period are tied to page by special "MUNCHEN 1 / MINSTER PRESIDENTEN KONFERENZ / 8.6.1947 /ZUR UBERWINDUNG DER DEUTSCHEN NOT" (Prime Minister's Conference to Overcome German Plight) circular cancel. Each stamp has deep rich coloring, four nice margins (two close on one margin), and nice perforations all around. Special cancel is clear and sharp on each stamp. Front of page and stamps are clean, some light wear at top from handling. Stamps are permanently affixed (not hinged). Reverse side is clean with some minor rubbing in storage. Please see picture for condition and quality. A nice piece of philatelic and German history.
