Item Description

MAURITIUS 1859 1d VERMILION, DARDENNE, SG 42, SCOTT 16, FU, CAT £1,300($1,600)...........SCOTT CAT. $1,350

Just fine used with very good color, cut very close all round (just clear or just touching) with a barred oval cancel, an expert mark and a couple of light pencil ids on an otherwise clean reverse side.

Very scarce 1859 1d vermilion, printed by l.A. Dardenne issue, in just fine used condition.

Condition Notes for Mint Stamps
UMM = Unmounted Mint - never previously hinged (nh) mint stamps with no gum disturbance

VLMM = Very Lightly Mounted Mint - No hinge remainder but has very slight gum disturbance which may have been caused by a hinge.

LMM = Lightly Mounted mint clear evidence of having been previously mounted but light with full original gum

MM = Mounted Mint - clear evidence of having been mounted with hinge remainder(s) on back

Unused = No gum
