MALAYA STRAITS 1884 8 ON 8c ON 12c DULL PURPLE(SCOTT - VIOLET BROWN), SG 80, SCOTT 65, FU, CAT £475($608) ..............SCOTT CAT $500

Sound with with good color, well centered with a typical cds cancel, has a small hinge thin with a faint hinge bend on an otherwise clean reverse side.

Scarce 1884 8 on 8c on 12c dull purple(scott - violet brown) issue in just fine used condition. 

Condition Notes for Mint Stamps
UMM = Unmounted Mint - never previously hinged (nh) mint stamps with no gum disturbance

VLMM = Very Lightly Mounted Mint - No hinge remainder but has very slight gum disturbance which may have been caused by a hinge.

LMM = Lightly Mounted mint clear evidence of having been previously mounted but light with full original gum

MM = Mounted Mint - clear evidence of having been mounted with hinge remainder(s) on back

Unused = No gum
