SCARCE MAILOMAT addressed to War Production Board: Meter stamp #51003 (US Postage Meter Stamp catalog #PV-A2.4); in Purple for holiday mailings, which was supposedly introduced in 1944, used Dec 24, 1943 from Penn Station in NYC (this machine was originally in Macy's, then moved to Pennsylvania Station), addressed WPB (War Production Board) - Footwear Division, Washington D.C, some ms markings as the card found the proper addressee, Bold Red "RECEIVED" WPB marking at the bottom of card, a marking which was applied by a non-postal Pitney-Bowes device, very uncommon usage, the slogan is Kelsey Type #23 and was used on only two meter stamps, lot also includes a cover with the same received marking (with Win the War stamp #905), Fine-VF.The WPB marking is scarce on a cover or card with a meter postage stamp.
