MAILOMAT METER STAMP: Type PV-A2.4; Columbus Ohio Sep 26 1940 w slogan Mailed via Mailomat at / Convention Headquarters / NATIONAL ASSN. of POST MASTERS / Deshler-Wallack Hotel / Columbus Ohio / Sept. 25-28 1940, 1c usage on postal card (standard Pitney-Bowes type), addr Delaware OH, this Mailomat was originally installed in Grand Central Station in NYC and was returned there after the Convention, erased ancient price, clean & VF

The interesting thing about this use is that it was mailed on the second day of the convention. This usage, on Thursday Sept 26 1940 is, in my humble opinion, far scarcer than first day usages, as many attendees rushed to try out the "new" machine on the first day as they arrived. Then it most likely sat, less used until the last day of the Convention. It would be very interesting to have a census to see if that was true.
