This cover was mailed from London, S.W.1, England to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1937 franked by a 1d scarlet KGVI issue of 1937, Scott 236, that is tied to the envelope by a machine cancellation.

Purple Triple-Circle Handstamp: 'The Second Annual London Stamp Exhibition / 16-23 October 1937.'

The cachet depicts silhouettes of His & Her Majesties between 1837 and 1937 and reads: 'One Hundred Years of Postal Progress / The Second Annual London Stamp Exhibition / Organized by The Stamp Magazine October 1937.'

The backflap is un-sealed and intact. Mild upper left corner creases (see scans). No contents or backstamps.

Light horizontal or vertical lines in the images are scanner artifact !
