Item Description

LABUAN 1879 2c Blue Green, Watermark CA OVER CROWN SIDEWAYS, SG 1, SCOTT 1, FU, Cat $975........SG CAT £850($1,088)

PLEASE NOTE addition of 3rd scan of reverse showing clear CA over Crown (extends over 2 stamps) SIDEWAYS. The 1880 (CC) and 1883 (CA) watermarks are, to my knowledge, not known with sideways watermarks

Condition note:- there is a small shallow upper left corner thin (see hi res scan of reverse)

Fine used and fresh with good color, well centered with a small corner thin, just light evidence of hinging and a pencil signature on an otherwise clean reverse side

Very scarce 1879 2c Blue Green, Watermark CA OVER CROWN SIDEWAYS issue in fine used condition

Condition Notes for Mint Stamps
UMM = Unmounted Mint - never previously hinged (nh) mint stamps with no gum disturbance

VLMM = Very Lightly Mounted Mint - No hinge remainder but has very slight gum disturbance which may have been caused by a hinge.

LMM = Lightly Mounted mint clear evidence of having been previously mounted but light with full original gum

MM = Mounted Mint - clear evidence of having been mounted with hinge remainder(s) on back

Unused = No gum
