The venerated magazine of U.S postal history, La Posta, celebrated its 50th anniversary of publication in 2018, and as a reward to subscribers, supporters and contributors, Editor Peter Martin sent out these FDCs.The cachet depicts Peter, his wife, and 3 other influential contributors to La Posta's respected history. The magazine's founder flies overhead as the La Posta stage heads into the future. Everyone is identified on the backflap.
The cover is franked with second issue saluting the Centennial of US Airmail Service (the 'red' biplane) and received the Digital Color FDoI Cancel.
This cover is an artist's proof from outside the La Posta edition of 150.
