Item Description
This one-cent black / dark buff Thomas Jefferson postal card issue of 1886, Scott UX9a, was mailed from Keene, New Hampshire to Brattleboro, Vermont in 1890 and was cancelled by an elliptical target killer in duplex.Verso is the printed letterhead of 'Spencer & Co., Hardware, Paints, Coal, Lime, and Cement' with a handwritten note about a telegram, butter and peas.
The card in the scan is the one you will receive.
Any vertical, horizontal, or diagonal light lines in image are scanner artifact ! (any short dark lines not specifically mentioned as a fault are hairs compliments of 'Mouse,' my good friend and uber-shedding Chocolate Labrador Retriever, and may or may not be included).
Shipping always combined.
APS # 180251.
