Item Description

FASCIST ITALY: RPPC; hand identified and dated image of Benito Mussolini and family, (1931), this is a scarce, though commercially available, image of Mussolini. I was unable to find any examples of it on any other web sites. Hand Annotated & dated, apparently by someone who knew the family well, perhaps even by someone in the photo, the details show Rachele with daughters and sons, the descriptive sheet is attached to the reverse of the RPPC, the RPPC has a photographers imprint verso (shown in fourth image), extremely interesting and provocative image, with a potential for more discoveries to be made to the inquisitive. Rachele Mussolini was born Rachele Guidi in Predappio Italy. She was born into a peasant family and was the daughter of Agostino Guidi and wife Anna Lombardi. She lived until 1979.
