Ireland 1946 Limerick to Prague First Flight cover Pan American World Airways.
On June 16, 1946 Pan American World Airways had their first flight from Limerick, Ireland to Prague, Brussels, and Vienna. They produced covers to commemorate the occasion, with each leg having its own cachet and addresses. They were cancelled in Limerick, carried on the flight, and then backstamped at their destination.
I am offering the cover to Prague.
I have this in two different frankings. One with the 6p sower and the 2p map stamps, or with the 5p sword of light and 3p map stamps. This lot has the sower and map stamps (the sower stamp has a catalog value of $6.75 by itself).
