Iran Pahlavi Dynasty. Silver Medal Token Iranian New Year (Nowruz) 1344 (1965)

Description/Condition:
Silver medal (0.900 pure) minted in commemoration of the Persian New Year (سکه یادبود به مناسبت سال نو ایرانیان) with a reeded edge and 36.7 mm in diameter. and approx 20g. Obverse illustrating the left-facing conjoined busts of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi (a.k.a. Mohammad Reza Shah) and Queen Farah, dated in Persian "1344" (1965) below, and reverse with an inscription in Persian framed within an open-ended wreath composed of branches of laurel leaves and oak leaves, surmounted by the Pahlavi crown.
