International collection – 31 scott international albums – massive international collection of tens of thousands of mint and used issues organized in 31 scott international volumes (8 large cartons!) covering practically every country under the sun from a to z. One gets the feeling that an original collector essentially spliced two separate collections together, because there are sections that dedicate ample amount of focus to 19th century and early decades of the 1900s showcasing stamps of european classics and solid commonwealth theme running through, and then a good dozen of albums is allocated to the late decades of the 20th century. The former group is highlighted by a pair of albums that are essentially solid national collections in their own right: russia, running from imperial stamps and well into the late stages of ussr, and then an even more impressive collection of france and colonies that features ceres and napoleon iii along with hundreds of highly attractive midcentury stamps and a whole kaleidoscope of colonial issues! This is a huge philatelic colossus with national subsections filled in to varying standards, but taken all together the sheer scope is impressive! With ample space to grow in some sections! Very fine, mint og (we only took few sample shots showcasing the scope, organization, and general quality of the contents within this lot)
