International carton sized selection of thousands – p, r, s countries – the lot is a large carton filled to the top with few thousand album pages from around the globe covering countries that fall between ‘p’ and ‘s’ on the alphabet. Primarily focused on the more modern portion of worldwide philately the lot essentially represents an international colossus collection in the forming stage, as album pages are predominantly scott, but not limited to one publisher. And though small bit of overlap is to be expected, at the same time average duplication levels are negligible. Just couple of larger national sections within would come from pakistan (lots of modern material), philippines (actually nice collection already in scott specialty album), somalia, somali coast, st lucia, mint midcentury korea, san marino, sweden, switzerland (lots of individual sets in glassines), and russia just to mention a few. The lot isn’t exactly very well organized and is not limited to the countries between p and s, as one will also encounter sizeable sections from luxembourg, great britain and others. This is an intimidating mountain of pages, counter stock lots, glassines, and stock pages, but the original collector was on the right track – one could form very nice national subsections from material included.
