1855 Sir Arthur Buller Knight, in original signature, grants prayer of native insolvent petitioner for this court to make an Ad Interim order for the protection of petitioner from arrest and that such Interim order may apply to all the debts and liabilities mentioned in petitioner’s schedule and may commence and take effect from the day of the date hereof

Sir Arthur William Buller Knight was born on September 1808 at Calcutta, did his BA in 1830 and MA in 1834, admitted to Lincoln’s Inn in 1830 and called to Bar at 1834, worked as Queen’s Advocate in Ceylon 1840-8, worked as Judge at Supreme Court at Fort William in Bengal 1848 to 1858, was Knighted in 1848, was President of The Bengal Club Limited 1856-8, was MP for Devonport 1859-65, for Liskeard 1865-9, got married to Anne Henrietta Maria, daughter of Francis James Templar in 1842, died April 30 1869 at Half Moon Street, Piccadilly.
