Item Description
This is a mint set of five stamps issued by the Independent Postal System of America. In 1968, Thomas M. Murray founded the Independent Postal System of America (IPSA) as a carrier of third and fourth class mail, in competition with what is now the United States Postal Service (USPS). In 1971, the company attempted to enter first class mail service. a number of lawsuits were brought against Mr. Murray's company, which led to the company's collapse in the mid-1970s. The company produced a number of stamps during its existence. these are five of the most commonly found 1 cent to 50 cent stamps. Mint never hinged. See scan for centering and condition.
