Here's a FDC from the isle of Jersey celebrating your Lunar New Year zodiac animal!Jersey issued this 1997 souvenir sheet with lively and whimsical art by Victor Ambrose, a noted Jerseyite, who designed all 12 of the Lunar New Year souvenir sheets with high value stamps for his native birthplace and home.
The handcolored cachet features the PUFFIN CACHETS mascot seated approvingly atop the cape-and-scarf adorned Ox who is munching on a daisy, just like on the stamp! The cover has two nice strikes of the official Jersey First day of Issue cancel.
The reverse bears the PUFFIN CACHETS logo, and designates this as cover #1 of only 5 covers that were sent to Jersey for servicing!
