Item Description

This Lot is a 1953 Hong Kong cover, franked with Scott #154, 155, 157, 159B and 184 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II, as applicable, all in Used condition. Stamps are tied to cover by "HONG KONG / 11 AU 53 / 1" circular date stamps. Stamps have deep rich coloring, all but the 8¢ King George VI have four margins with varied but good centering, and all have excellent perforations. The 8¢ King George VI has three good margins with the fourth at the left edge of design. Cover measures approximately173 mm x 98 mm, shows some light wear at corners with small tear at top and right edge. Surfaces, front and reverse are clean and also reflect light toning from sun exposure. Please see pictures for condition and quality.
