Item Description

This cover was mailed from Hamilton, Bermuda to New York City in 1936 franked by a 1/- deep green KGV, Grape Bay issue of 1936, Scott 113, tied by a Hamilton circular date stamp.

Content is four sides, hand-written on Magrada letterhead, and includes in part: "The fishing here is wonderful." "There are lots of negros and gnats. You can feel both when you pass the negro houses. If you pass a negro on the street in the evening you say "good evening," but he always says "good night."'

Slit open top, the backflap is sealed and intact. No backstamps. Magrada return address printed on flap.

Light horizontal or vertical lines in the images are scanner artifact !
