Item Description
Guernsey issued a very pretty set of four butterfly and moth stamps in March of 1997 to herald the onset of Spring!The 'Holly Blue", the "Hummingbird Hawke-Moth", the "Emperor Moth" and the "Brimstone" were all World Wildlife Fund-sanctioned issues.
The handcolored cachet, on a hand-made pink envelope, depicts the Puffin Cachets mascot getting friendly with a Holly Blue! The reverse bears the Puffin Cachets logo and shows that this is cover #1 of only 8 covers sent to Guernsey for servicing.
