Item Description

Interesting group of 5 submarine naval covers from the 1930s. 4 covers with 1 1/2 cent Harding and large numeral ship number cancels (S-10, S-11, S-12, S-13); one additional cover honors the decommissioning of S-10 in 1936. Unusual group of early submarines built around 1920 (S-10 was decommisioned in 1936, but the others all served in WWII before being scrapped in 1945).
