GREAT BRITAIN METER STAMPS: 13 Covers, a front and two pieces;1935-1985, incl better, best two are in the first scan, the pristine 1943 usage from Rochdale to the Raybestos Co in Stratford Connecticut, censor tape, the 1985 meter is well struck but appears to almost have no town, just a trace (see the close up in the second scan), definitely NOT due to inking, covers incl 1935 slogan (soiled), 1936 Fairways slogan (window env), just post-war 1945 medical slogan on window env, 1947 type D1 to Hampstead (sm size and CLEAN!), 1955 TO Georgia USA w MS "May bulletin," 1956 UE type on window, another Universal multi-value on legal size cover, air mail to BRIG. GENERAL D. E. BREAKEFIELD in the Chambersburg Ordinance Depot in Pennsylvania, airmail env 1964 from Leicester to the Lions Club in Chicago (eye catching), 1977 London cover w two meter stamps (but one slogan), airmail to US, two more from the 70s and 80s incl a strip on cover (both legal size), the fronts and pieces are in the sixth scan and should not be ignored, especially the Ford Motor Co one, couple light wrinkles and flaws, overall Fine-VF. Very appealing lot.
