Item Description
Full mint sheet of 50 - 3 cent stamps issued in 1949 to celebrate the Final encampment of the Grand Army of the Republic. The stamp shows a Union soldier and a G.A.R. veteran. The picture below shows one of the stamps from the sheet. Except for a tear in the large selvedge and a minor gum disturbance affecting ~ 6 stamps, this sheet is as fresh as the day it was purchased at the post office 70+ years ago and is suitable for framing.
