Item Description
This cover was mailed from Grahamstown, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa to Sidmouth, South Devon, England in 1894 franked by a 1/2d and a horizontal pair of 1d "Hope" & Symbols of Colony issues. The stamps are tied to the envelope by Grahamstown circular date stamps.the Backflap Is Embossed With: "Convent of / Our Lady of Good Hope / Grahamstown / South Africa."
Slit/torn open top, the backflap has several tears plus one on the cover's front side (see scans). Sidmouth receiving cds verso. No contents.
The cover in the scan is the one you will receive. Light lines in images are SCANNER ARTIFACT!
