Item Description

The 1936 Hindenburg airmail stamp. Gum has been removed, which is good because it contained sulfuric acid!

A reconstructed block of 6, consisting of two horizontal strips of 3, joined with hinges on the back, as can be seen in the second photo. There is a small area of staining at the intersection of the left four stamps. No doubt from the acid gum.
