This is an original 1936 First Flight LZ129 Hindenburg, Germany to North America, New York flight cover. The Hindenburg was put into service in March of 1936, and made its first voyage to the USA in May. This flight cover is from that journey -- First Trans-Atlantic Germany to USA Flight.

It is my understanding that this piece of Zeppelin aviation history came from the estate of a retired Pan Am pilot who flew the China Clippers before, during and after World War II. He was an avid collector of all things aviation.
