Item Description

Bavaria Southern Germany, Bavaria was its own country until 1920 when it was made a part of the German Empire. These were the early issues of the Kingdom that became part of the German Empire in 1870. These are the Bavarian Issues of 1920 Overprinted with the words "Deutsches Reich" as the new German Empire under Adolf Hitler started its takeover of Europe. Scott #274 CLH 10 Mark.
