GERMANY: FASCINATING HOLOCAUST RELATED COVER; with 25pf Leipzig Fair (Messe) issue, (Scott #497), single franking, tied to Euro-sized cover by Berlin August 15 1940 handstamp postmark, addr GERMAN JEWISH CHILDREN'S AID in NYC USA, forwarded to their new address at 215 4th Ave, properly paid and with the current "commemorative" available in the Post Office at the time, censored (third scan), tape is "tied" by handstamps, reverse reads REICHSVEREIGUNG DER JUDEN in DEUTSCHLAND, basically a Nazi puppet organization attempting to get Jewish people to follow the Nuremberg race laws, much of what they did concerned forcible deportations, apparently they were contacting this Children's society to attempt to allow (or force) a child -possibly an orphan to come to the US, there is a name on the rear of cover but it is difficult to read (see the last scan), Rudolf??? Some flaws mostly on reverse but a rare and intact survivor, appears to have a receiving mark of Oct 2 1940 which may have been too late for the child concerned, Fine-VF Highly unusual.
