GERMAN NEW GUINEA Sc 16-18 MINT - 1901 Imp. Yacht Hohenzollern-While these stamps all have faults the overall look is decent with good centering. Some specific issues are as follows:

1m: This stamp is basically sound with no tears or thins. What appear to be stains on the front, I believe are darkening gum spots showing through. Complete original gum with a hinge remnant, see back scan. Keep in mind that I scan at 480ppi; a very high scan rate that magnifies any issues with the stamp. The apparent "stains" on this stamp are certainly there, but to the naked eye they are much less noticeable than on the scan.

2m: This stamp is sound with no tears or thins. It has very little gum remaining. There is some dirt or staining on the white border which is, again, is not as noticeable when just looking at the stamp. Overall centering and color are good but it does have a somewhat dingy look.

3m: This is by far the stamp with the most faults. It has the obvious staining on the R front. You can see the tear from the bottom just right of middle up through almost halfway up the stamp. The lower right quadrant of the stamp is very thin - see back scan. There is little or no gum remaining. There are no pieces missing, so careful repairs and cleaning could make this stamp presentable.
