Very simply ... We are disposing of the
Bishop Hawaii Estate. The Bishop Family
was one of the most prominent families in 19th Century Hawaiian
History. The stamps in this Estate have
resided in a stunning stamp album, untouched for over 70 years. One of the things that we have sound most fascinating were the prices written in pencil on the back of some of the stamps. These prices tend to line-up with our 1935-1939 Scott Catalogs! While we do not know the entire history of
this collection, we do know that it contains many genuine, expensive stamps
some of which have minor issues such as reinforcing, reperforations, nicked corners,
etc. We have attempted to note some of the more 'major' issues above. As a result this is a great
opportunity to acquire a nice stamp from a collection with a known history at
very affordable price. We have posted
