With an estate comprised of 745 stamps, this collector was a 'go to expert' on the washington-franklin's. The notes we discovered in his collection covered everything from color variations, natural paper inclusions, and typing examples. Apparently he was very generous sending his reference samples to other exhibitors and dealers. Even months after his passing, his wife was still receiving these stamps back in the mail.
