REMARKABLE HISTORICAL RAILWAY SHOWPIECE from the collection of ROGER de LACY-SPENCER. Note BLOCK OF 26 Penny Reds still attached to the reverse BEING THE FINAL PAYMENT of 2s/2d (in postage stamps) to a dismissed GREAT NORTHERN RAILWAY signalman. AMAZING INTACT SURVIVAL. Stamps are unused have become mostly stuck down and are affected by filing folds. Some faults. Note that the block displays part of the MARGINAL ORNAMENT in the right margin.
