FRANCE: TWO covers, both with early meter stamps, used to OVERSEAS destinations, first larger (4.5 x 6.5") cover is used to NYC, 1928 Paris meter w/ blank space, Registered with mute label (stamped 81), beautiful wax seal on reverse, second cover has 1926 Paris meter stamp, two impressions of the 75c meter, don't know if that was done accidently or paid the proper rate, Morgan, Harjes & Co c/c (bank), mailed to Ernest R. Ackerman in Plainfield NJ, Ackerman was a well-known early exhibitor of stamps and also a politician, scarce pair! Fine-VF
