France, Scott #251 (Yvert and Tellier #261b), used(o), 1929, French Scenes, Die Variations, Die I, Port of La Rochelle, 10 francs, recessed engraved, perforated: 13½, (Die I: serif on the "E" of Postes at left, circle space in the "0" of 10frs is not complete) light pale ultramarine, Scott 2019 catalog value: $15.00. Nicely centered, probably a triple strike cancel, the main, a light, broken-up, quarter circular, black-inked, single-rimmed, corner cancel at the lower right, the second, half circular on the middle lower border, and the last, the remnants of quarter circular corner cancel on the upper left, all cancels leave the main image largely clear, back of stamp shows crumpled corners at the top right and at the top left, two hinge gum remnants, pencil die identification marks on the back, perhaps a string of short perforations on the right top edge when viewed from the back, otherwise good perforations; centering and image free cancel warrants a selling price premium. This is not a 'bait-and-switch' offer. The stamp you see will be the one you receive.
