855 baseball only had 2 first day issue and 4 d.C. 2nd day issue. All different plate #s. These will not be seen again!.................*****spectacular new purchase of the frederick rice "diaries" of first day covers. These were his personal collection and are never seen on the market!! ...Most of them "may" be one of a kind, but i am not absolutely certain. Most of them that i purchased, i have only one. Some i have 2 or more but usually with a different plate #.............From what i have heard so far, these have not been seen by collectors before!******bought 11 volumes (900 items) from 1933 to 1948. They are all 5 1/2 x 6 pages ......Some are printed cachet on the page, some are signed by him with address label or pencil. None of the printed pages are listed in the planty cachet catalogs! ......From what i have heard so far, these have not been seen by collectors before!******much of these are plate # blocks, either 1st day or d.C. 2nd day. Some are postmaster signed******this is a rare opportunity to purchase unique material from a major cachet maker of the 1930s and 1940s!
