METER SLOGANS: 1948-1996, FOUR COVERS, each a legal size cover, each with their own illustrated slogan meter stamp; first is undated but circa early 50s Wine Advisory Board "Election Flash" cover w National Wine Week slogan showing wine and grapes tear at UR corner and flap was opened for third class inspection, still beautiful and intact, next is Warp Brothers glass products cover, slogan meter Jan 28 1948 illustrated with various kinds of specialty glass, addressed Appleton WI, cover has tears at top and is missing flap, then 1986 US Air (sales office in Memphis) cover, beautiful mute illustration of a jetliner, addr locally to Allen Couch (A stamp collector), cover is reduced at top but the slogan is completely intact and is quite scarce as US Air merged with another airline, finally a legal size cover franked with a slogan meter STRIP, shows a monkey BRUSHING HIS TEETH! This is from a Trenton NJ dentist, tiny flaws. All covers have meter stamp IDed on reverse (some #s are obsolete), great range of subjects, close-up for the slogans in the second scan, Fine-VF
