POSTAL CARD USAGE: Jury Duty Card Mailed on D-DAY; 1c Jefferson, (Scott #UX27), postmarked Corpus Christi TX Jun 6 1944, addr Bishop Texas, Sherriff's Department notice for JURY DUTY, the addressee was not available so the card was returned (possibly he was in the service?), charged a penny due for Return service (so marked), this was a TOP-OF-THE-STACK card as it has 10c cents worth of due stamps for ten returned cards, pencil mark on reverse, very showy and significant card, colorful and VF.Please see my other auctions!
