DUAL FDC originally produced for the 10c Horse Racing / Kentucky Derby stamp issued on May 4, 1974 in Louisville, Kentucky (Sc. 1528), and then cancelled as an FDC for one of the Sports Horses stamps issued in Louisville, Kentucky, KY, on May 1, 1993 (Sc. 2756-59). The stamp on this cover depicts thoroughbred racing. Multicolored cachet produced by Fleetwood, featuring a horse race and the buildings at Churchill Downs. The Thoroughbred Racing stamp features an "HN" perfin (perforated initials) -- the initials of Hideaki Nakano, the cachetmaker who created this cover. Unaddressed. Open back flap.
