This is the postally used 1857 Franklin 1-cent postage stamp, which is for sale. Very fresh stamp with great color, about very fine centering for this tough issue, and a small fault or two (read below). Identification verified through Scott Publishing's "Identifier of Definitive Stamp Issues" and noted 19th Century philatelic expert Mortimer Neinken's "The United States One Cent Stamp of 1851 to 1861."
