Item Description

This is the 1863 5-cent Thomas Jefferson issue with solid perforations and bears a crisp circular 7-bar grid cancellation. Someone at some point did misidentify the stamp as a #75 (red brown) and then #153 (purple) of which it is neither. Please study the images for the cancellations, margins, and perforations.
