Item Description

This is a 10-cent green Type V late-1850's postally used Washington definitive stamp for sale. Despite being a natural straight-edge as a margin issue, the color is crisp and very well centered for the issue. The stamp shows traces of having been cancelled with a city-date in red ink (possibly a postal carrier cancel), which was either a very faint strike or poorly inked.
