Item Description

At the height of World War II, the U.S. Postal Department recognized and honored the nations which had been overrun by the Axis Powers in a series of simple, yet exquisite 5-cent postage stamps baring the flgs of each respective nation. This series also had the distinction of having the names of the nations serve as the plate numbers, hence this Greek flag issue is one of the sheet's plate singles.

This is the stamp currently at auction. The stamp is full original never hinged gum. Please study the images for centering, clarity, color, and over all condition.
