Item Description

This is the South Dakota state duck stamp for sale. There are no detractors on this the second to be issued in the state for duck hunting. The stamps were sold from panes of five creating natural straight-edges on at least one of the four sides; this stamp shows two such natural straight-edges. The stamp bears a neat, blue ink signature of the hunter in the very lowest margin just easing over "Columbian" of the Columbian Bank Note Company imprint just below the design border. Please study the images for clarity, color,  and centering. 

Scott editors note that on this particular stamp paper, if it is washed it fades. There is no discoloration.
