Item Description

This is a plate specialist lot for British Victorian era collectors hoping to place some missing plates of the 1864 one penny red (various shades) in their collections. There are no duplicate plate numbers -- each was verified under magnification against the previous collector's notes. All 28 stamps are obviously used and cancelled in a variety of means. There are some issues with faults, but nothing major beyond what can be seen in the images. The two individual issues with a separate image each at the better values of the lot for their plate numbers.

Please study the images (stamps are ordered left to right, lowest atop to highest) for clarity, cancellation, perforations, color, and general centering. The lot will ship on the partial stock pages as seen for ease of identification.
