Talk about the shadier side philately, this might be a great example. This looks to be a legitimate used partial imperforate $1.00 pair of Conveyance Revenue stamps (with generous imperf margins); correct?  Sent to philatelic expert for a certificate but returned as being with faked perforations! 

Seems somewhere along the history of this pair (actually an #R66a CV $90), someone -- for whatever reason (might have been a collector who wanted to fill a space... or someone trying to line a pocket) -- the perforations were added to the pair to create a $7,000 gem or fake as is this situation. Whatever the reasoning, it is nice to look at and would be a nice space filler for any collection as long as it is clear it is not a genuine #R66b pair.
