These 'villains' in the cachet are not film stars - they're the hard-working AFDCS Auction Committee members masquerading as famous Disney bad guys!The AFDCS sends out 'Thank You FDCs' to donors who contribute to the twice-a-year fundraising auctions, and for many years the committee members have been caricatured in concordance with the stamp issue on the covers.
Last year the Disney Villains stamp issue was employed. This particular cover bears the 'Maleficent' stamp (from the 'Sleeping Beauty' feature) and is cancelled with its matching DCP that shows Maleficent's pet raven, DIABLO.
The cover is normal-sized when folded, but opens up to nearly 12" wide to showcase all 8 committee members dressed up as Disney Villains.!
A diagram on the reverse identifies each of the auction committee members -- don't they look devilishly diabolical in their costumes?!
