CANADA: D-DAY usage from the famed Marks Stamp Company; 10c Parliament Tower, 4c George VI, (Scott #257 & 254), both war issue stamps tied to cover by Jun 6 1944 Toronto Sub No 21 postmarks, a total of SIX STRIKES of this cancel are on this cover, though only one is clear (shown in the close-up), addressed Saul Newbury c/o The Boston Store in Chicago USA, The Boston Store was a famed department store chain (supposedly they are back in business). Is it possible this Saul Newbury was an agent buying stamps for The Boston Store? I believe they had a Stamp Department in some locations, cover sealed by Kraft (postal?) tape which is tied by Jun 6 cancels, Registered, many handstamps including D-Day dated Toronto customs handstamp, usual Marks Registry and Customs printing, received in Chicago the 8th and delivered on the 9th, by then the customer must have known about the invasion, but when this was mailed it was still top secret!
