Czechoslovakia stamp, 1919 Austrian newspaper stamps from 1916 overprinted "POŠTA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ 1919"
Czechoslovak overprints of stamps 1919 to 1927 are one of the fairytale collections for a plethora of leading stamp collectors.
These stamps were reprinted on Austrian and Hungarian stamps before the end of February 1919, they were sent to the public until the end of World War I with the inscription "POSTA ČESKOSLOVENSKA 1919". Most of the stamps were used as semi-post stamps for charitable purposes, in which they were sold only at the Prague Post Office.
