Item Description
In 2001 the nation of Jersey celebrated their world famous Jersey Cows and local farm produce on a set of five 'minimum postage paid' stamps. This Puffin Cachets FDC bears the cow single and the potato single from the set of small self-adhesives.The handcolored cachet features a Jersey Cow happily holding up a small Puffin, despite being mired in a pile of spuds. The cachet line art was photocopied in black on a light buff stationery handmade envelope, and handcolored with brush pens and colored pencils.
The reverse reveals this to be cover #1 of only 6 sent to Jersey for servicing.
