CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA: US 1c Postal Card (#UX27); mailed locally Richmond VA Oct 21 1949, addr August Dietz, I assume this is to Senior (his birthday was Oct 19 and it is so dated on reverse), card has stunning hand-painted image of Black woman in Red dress on face, reverse has message in German and English, ends with "craftsman who has put heart and soul into every stroke of the graver." Very personal and hard-to-find. VF+Dietz Sr. was 80 that year.
